Drawing on themes of innocence and experience, ‘Canvas’ looks at androids as blank canvases and follows their exploration of human culture from birth to a bitter end. Their experimentation with clothes and make up takes them through different stages of our story culminating in the death of one at the a thieving, jealous hand of the other. I wanted this story to be a celebration of colour and to portray fashion as Art; I really loved the notion that our experiences are like coloured brush strokes on a once blank Canvas.
